A bridge that I came across by accident. There is not really a ghetto or anything like it, but a grafitti artist had painted "Welcome to the ghetto" on the rusted bridge. There was some interesting cobblestone and it had been raining so there was also a puddle that added atmosphere. The black and white treatment with some color added back in with channel mixer, has, I believe, enhanced the feeling of a little forboding.
Adjusted levels and curves, increased contrast, destaurated with channel mixer and adjusted channels in greyscale. Unchecked greyscale and added subtle sepia hue in red and blue channels. Adjusted contrast again, resized, USM (light) and saved. I feel pretty good about this, but as always, DPC is unpredictable! |

| I love this... the DOF is great and the composition is very striking - it draws the eye to the graffiti but not before the viewer takes in the surroundings. Your choice of colours and desaturation works perfectly for the mood you're setting with this - excellent work. |

| really nice colors.. the best i've seen in this challenge, although it starts to degrade on the bridge support. who cares... it's magazine worthy. |
