 An experiment (for me) in photographing flowers, inspired by several beautiful recent entries (and winners) in other challenges. Purchased a bunch of pink tulips and used a combination of diffused sunlight from a window and some fill flash.

In post editing, used a gaussian blur layer in soft light mode and adjusted saturation and lightness, curves and some very light selective sharpening. Neat image and resize.

Not too happy about the crop, but don't have time (or sunlight) to reshoot, so am submitting with fingers crossed. I do like the shot but I am sure it is going to be one of a million similar! We'll see.

the lighting coming from the lower left is pretty harsh, but the depth of field is great and the colors look natural, not oversaturated, hope this does well for you

Good composition and lighting here. I gave you an (8) because the focus is too soft for my own personal taste given the stark background. Nice work - I'm sure you are pleased with the final result.

I like the softness of this, but the background could be darker. It's got a lot of noise in it. Maybe my monitor is brighter than yours.
