Challenge: Three (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Stanford, CA

Date Uploaded: Jan 27, 2005

I had done some grass pictures for Bokeh, and didn't submit them. So I thought I'd do a grass with three waterdrops for Threes. I set out early in the morning with water, and a brush to put the drops, but found that Nature had done the job for me much better than I could have possibly done it myself.
This image is actually vertical- it is not rotated to make it vertical.
PS: Curves, Contrast, USM. Burned some parts to bring out the drops more.

This was my favourite of the challenge - its funny how our green macros ended up side by side :P. Great work - FOr some reason it adds to my appreciation to find out that you just found this rather than set it up :).

Could use some more burning on the background. It appears a bit too bright.

I very much like the simplicity of this photo, the diagonal composition and the very shallow dof.

This is by far my favorite so far. I love the emphasis of your subject. The super-blurred background really makes the dew or rain drops stand out. 9
