 "Faceless Not Faithless"

He buries his face in his lap
asking for self-control
seeking grace to fill the gap
with in his heart and soul.

Searching for a heavenly hope
and comfort from a solemn place
he leans upon his faith to cope
with the trials of life's embrace.

He longs to hear the declaration
of sweet justification and nothing less
a quiet time in prayer and supplication
keeps him faceless not faithless.

I agree with JPR ... very few images of this level of artistic merit appeal to DPC voters (and so; it totally friggin rocks).

I don't understand the title, but the image is unusual and sure grabbed my attention. The bare feet make the contorted pose work (sounds like a weird comment, I know, but try covering them up ... the impact is gone). 7

I like the shot but it seems to come across a bit too dark. Creative and well composed and the use of light creates a nice effect. Survey says........6
