 Taken on my son's first birthday, on a trip round the Birmingham Sea Life centre. Macro lens at 90mm, and lots of experimentation with the direction of the flash to get the exposure right. Oh and a bit of patience to wait for the subject to smile nicely!

Levels, cropped, few blemishes cloned out and saved for DPC.

wow--i tried one of these for the yellow challenge--but your's is way cooler than mine! i really like the simple color scheme, and the shallow dof.

Thankyou for all the kind comments. Have tried a lot of these aquarium shots, but this is the one that I've had the best results with.

Nice photo. I've never seen a sea horse like this before. Beautiful colors. Well done and keep up the good work in 2005.

wow! this is one of those images that is really easy to underappreciate--until you try to do it yourself! great work here, all the way around. i hope this isn't being overlooked in this huge challenge, and that it is getting the attention it deserves. good luck here, and in the challenges yet to come!

Very pretty - I like the colours - tank shots like these aren't easy and you've done well! Even better if this isnt a tank shot (Im just playing the odds :P).
