This was a planned C-Section due to complications from a previous birth. Logan was birthed at 9 lbs on 3/31/04. I cannot put into words the feeling I had to catch this moment on digital. She was struggleing hard to take that first breath and I have it all captured. I was able to stand at teh foot of the bed and witness the entire procedure. I will never forget this moment.

I guess their lamp diffusers aren't meant for portraiture, but it lets you avoid using the flash -- congratulations!

Congrats if is yours. If not congrats for the parents. While not a very good pic (light, sharp, contrast, colours) it is a strong image. Good luck!

Nicely timed and composed photograph, with good detail and not over-saturated. This will make a great family album shot that any parent would love. ((8))

Yargh, this one caught me by surprise, a momentous dramatic occasion. I think If you'd cropped in closer that drama would have been better demonstrated. Here's to a long and happy life for this little one.

Although this may have personal value to you... I'm sure there are several people giving you 1s for the sheer grossing out aspect! Congratulations on your new baby... I can appreciate this one as I am also a new parent :)

Ok the only way for me to get rid of this photo is to vote on it even tho it's making me sick to look at it. So... from the corner of my eye it has good color and clarity and great composition altho the subject is not for the faint hearted. I am not fussy on the chosen DOF as te bakground is a little OOF. Well done and keep up the good work in 2005.

Congratulations...We are expecting our second in the next few weeks and I hope to capture a similar image. The focus seems is a bit off on the little one, but it is still a great capture of an incredible moment.

studio setup? (o man am i funny...sorry....). But seriously, i not only like how the doctor is presenting the baby to you, but also, the lighting is great, focusing directly on the baby. Maybe a tighter crop around the baby and the doc?

congratulations BTW...or to whomever our newfound parents are.
