why would you leave the arrowhead shaped shadows running across the stantion. with as much control as PS offers...they look like an ink trail from the days when we used to print photos on $89 printers. also, the photo might be enhanced by using desat on the green patch, relagating it to the background (since it is not a main item). great idea. thanks.

Hey, I have a similair shot that was entered in the Bridges Challenge. It is a popular place to shoot the bridge.
Nice rendition! Congrats on your ribbon.

What an awesome technique. I am assuming the bridge was not naturally discolored like that and that it is some wonderous trick with Photoshop that I can not even begin to think of.

I will be very surprised if this is not in the top 3. Very interesting treatment.

Fabulous use of desaturation. This is one of the coolest shots of the GG bridge I've seen. I love the picture.. but not the feathered border. 8 from me

desat killed it for me

The border is a bit much, but otherwise I like it.

Interesting selective desat here. I actually like it. Nice strong color contrast, and I think it makes the image more interesting. Kinda gets me thinking of foggy SanFran. I also like the angle on the bridge. This isn't your typical bridge shot. 9

i am not sure i like the selective desaturation of the background (feels a little like a stage set), but a great composition.

Not sure I care for the fade, but I like the shot well enough anyway

Had to comment on this one, I just love it. The colurs on the bridge structure and the hillside contrast magnificently with the greyscale of the city. The boat just adds that bit of interest to carry you over the gap between the two.

What a fabulous viewpoint on what was a fabulous day. I have visited SF but didn't get to that side of the bridge. It brings back memories for me, thanks.

It's an intriguing idea that I don't entirely understand. I couldn't ignore it, which must be a good sign. But whatever it does have to tell me is about something other than architecture. Sorry (especially as I may not be doing it justice). 5.

Interesting perspective making excellent use of telephoto compression.

Love picture composition with the straight lines from the bridge kind of framing the city. And I like your decision, risky, of using a selective desat.

Good job, one of my favorite pictures from this challenge.

A classic shot well executed, but i don't understand the de-sat, IMHO it hurt the shot.

Much better than the average desat image. You are to be commended. I usually don't like those type of images all that well. Great job.

Cool! I've taken lots of shots from that spot, but I'm not nearly smart enough to come up with creative processing ideas like this. Very nice job with both the shot and the editing.

WONDERFUL picture, but it's utterly corrupted, in my view, by the desturation of half the bridge tower. If only you had kept the whole tower colored while desatting the city, you'd have a 10 from me. I'd love to see the original; was it necessary to desat ANYTHING?

Someone actually found a new way of shooting this! 10!!!
