Challenge: Best of 2004 (Advanced Editing III*)
Camera: Olympus E-1
Location: Sudbury Massachusetts - Senior Prom Night
Date: May 21, 2004
Aperture: f3.5
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/80
Date Uploaded: Jan 3, 2005

Hmm..Gaussian Blur on another layer, set to 40% and then the eyes and the necklace erased. Thats all I can remember, Why do the prom couples always stand in a line in the worst light possible, either back lit or with the sun in their eyes and the parents all hover like bees in front with dozens of cameras. Next year I'm going to politely ask that they move to where the light is better. Who cares if they get mud on their high heels.

Nice soft focus, fitting for the occasion. Brights seems overly hot here, but still a lovely capture.

For me the sky being blown out mixed with the high light on the forehead just realy hurt a wonderfull shot. The two together cause the model to have no definable forhead. I think a filter or softer lighting would have brought this up to an image I could easily have givin around an 8. As is with the hash highlites a cant go above saying this is a pretty average shot...

nice capture! i'm sure this image will be appreciated many, many years from now (much moreso than mine in my god-awful sky-blue tux...). i hope this isn't getting overlooked in this super-sized challenge, and that you are getting good feedback. thanks for sharing. good luck with this, and all the challenges yet to come!

Nice soft focus senior picture you've captured here. Her eyes don't seem that lively to me though.

Nice shot but in my opinion the sky is a little blown out.

Beautiful woman. The colors are a little washed out due to backlighting. This might look very good in B&W. The texture of her hair and contrasted with the softness of her skin might be emphasized in black and white. Just a thought.
