Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Where's Waldo? II (Basic Editing II)
Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ10
Location: On the way to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, India.
Date: Jan 2, 2005
Aperture: F/8
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/1600
Galleries: Candid, Rural
Date Uploaded: Jan 3, 2005

It was a prized catch. There were two kids on top of two different really high trees. The photograph became more interesting, when the girl on the top of this tree tried to hide her from my clicking camera.

On editing front, I have just adjusted the colour balance and put a thin border.

I think kids make some of the most beautiful subjects. I'm currently in Iraq and i have several photos of the children here. Unfortunately I've already taken em so I can't post em now, lol. Great pic.

A wonner of a waldo. Nothing beats waldo at dusk! Bumping up.

Hello :-) For me, this photo is one of the most inspiring of the bunch.

This is a really GREAT pic, the only thing that kind of bugs me is the slight horizon tilt.

Wow! Amazing colour! I like the silhouette effect and the yellow-red gradient. The slightly green grass gives it an interesting touch. The electricity pole is quite distracting, but the tree looks great, and your person blends in with it very well. How did you get Waldo up there? Or am I completely wrong, is Waldo somewhere else?
If it wasn't for the pole, I'd give you the full score --> 9.

This is a beautiful photograph in spite of, or maybe partially because of, the telephone wires. Great composition too. Good luck.

Fabulous shot! Wow! Gorgeous! The only (small) detail that could have improved would have been to clone out thinner branches on top, I find it a bit distracting but hey!... that's nature. I would also like this shot with the post and cables out just for comparison. The colours are just amazing, the foggy horizon is beautiful. I just started looking at pics for this challenge, yours is one of the very firsts but I wouldn't be surprise to see it end up in the top three.

I was going to do a silhouette too but it did not come out as well as yours. Very well done with the colors

orange grass

I would have given it at least a 9 if the powerline and pole weren't there.

Made that poor person climb a tree like that just for a picture? LOL
01/05/2005 12:50:40 PM
Lovely colours, but the wires are a little distracting. I assume waldo is sitting atop the tree.

Neat picture... Has a lot of potential! I might have cloned out the powerlines though...

Now why didn't I think of the silhouette approach? The wires do nothing for the scene but it still scores well.

Nice one :)
I really like how it's composed with the tree and the post and how 'Waldo' blends in.
Excellent work. Good luck.
