Very over exposed, a tighter crop of the walker would've been more dramatic.

Wow...great photo but quality could have been much better. Maybe it's just bad luck since it was an overcast day. =(

A bit overexposed ... try using a manual setting on your camera.

thats cool! but the pictures doesn't flatter it well

Too bad the detail is not here. Has story and good composition.
05/03/2002 11:23:00 PM
The sky is terribly washed out.

Hard to tell if it was really foggy, or this is overexposed. I kind of wish that the thing on the wire wasn't so much straight above that antenna, dunno if that would have been possible.

Good effort but just too grainy and dull in appearence.
05/03/2002 12:23:00 AM
Very interesting subject matter. However the focus seems off and the colors are muted

Interesting idea. I think a couple of things might have made it better -- cropping (read the discussion of this in the forums) it differently to get rid of the tree limbs. Also, it is really grainy on my end. If you used a digital zoom, that might have caused it, or a low res. Also, for the challenge, take advantage of the 150 K, you still had some you could have used (I think this has been discussed in the forums also, if not post a question, and they will give you good ideas).

Way over exposed.

not great quality and its a bit difficult to distinguish what is actually hapening

Even though the angle of the photograph is up, it doesn't convey to me the impression that the camera was on or close to the ground. I know from some of my photos that it can be on the ground, and not look like it, but I think the final impression conveyed is what counts. Has the picture been compressed a little too much? It doesn't seem very crips. Love the idea. Where is this?

contrast and exposure -- I'm guessing that you had to do some interesting metering or something to get the detail on the high wire act, but that left everything else kind of washed out -- not sure what advice to offer -- maybe a tighter zoom on the subject so there's not so much sky?

not keen on the white sky. could have cropped the tree? on the left
04/30/2002 08:29:00 AM
Cool, but it is to bad we couldn't see the subject a bit better.
04/29/2002 09:51:00 PM
Good shot. Too bad it isn't better quality.
04/29/2002 05:32:00 PM
this picture is really grainy, i see that you were probably attempting to have the guy balancing on the bankwest spire
04/29/2002 03:48:00 PM
Over-exposed.....
04/29/2002 01:41:00 PM
impressive stunt. photo isnt very sharp.
04/29/2002 01:19:00 PM
I like the subject but the lines and color are not crisp. It is hard to make out the image on the highwire.
04/29/2002 12:44:00 PM
I think this could have been a really impressive photo with a little added clarity and possibly some of the ever elusive weather cooperation. The tightrope wire appears very jagged and the bank building is quite grainy.
04/29/2002 10:24:00 AM
Wow! This is from my home town :).

The lighting is really interesting but somehow the composition here seems awkward to me. It doesn't have a tight enough focus.
04/29/2002 08:36:00 AM
Great subject, and the building leads nicely up to it. Picture seems to have suffered a lot in post-processing though. Also seems quite over exposed.
04/29/2002 08:24:00 AM
This photo seems a litle washed out.
04/29/2002 12:56:00 AM
I'll assume this is real, but even so, the exposure is not well done. The sky is too blown out.
04/29/2002 12:07:00 AM
what the hell?
