Nico- just ran across this. It is truly wonderful. I love the whole thing. The gentleman's countenance has a reverence about it. Almost like a modern day holy man. His noble wisdom shines through - or I hope he's noble and wise. Great lighting and softness yet it is clear and detailed. I like that you shot it at a lower perspective so you are actually looking up at him. Great my friend!!! |

A classic image. The way the eye glasses hang a tad low and the lip formation give great character to this image. |

Too bad about those lights in the background. Still a nice picture. |

Simply outstanding! A few focus issues but not very noticable. Looks like a ribbon winner to me. |

Cool old dude. He looks like he's seen some life. Personally I'd have preferred the sepia tone be a bit less green but I still like this very much. |

Revisiting. Excellent exposure and tonal range. Very effective use of toning as well. Gives this that old nostalgic feel. This shot captures the essence of this challenge. Tells a story while maintaining photographic integrity. Bumping up. 8 |

I want to like this more than i do; could be a fascinating character study, but the blown-out background higlights are not working for you here. |

Great shot, great duotoning. It's a shot that captures a candid moment, but leaves you with so many questions. Nicely done. |

You photograph, and your title, have truly depicted what is...the texture of dreads and weathered leather that is everwhere. 10 |

Neat picture! A little soft around his face and hat with a few over exposed sections such as where his bear meets the ceiling light....but good capture. |

Lights in the background are distracting. |
