This may be my last hummingbird entry for this year as they have begun their migration to Central America. My challenge to myself this year was to try to photograph the hummers in as many poses and attracted to as many flowers as I could. I was able to photograph them attracted to 18 different flower species although I was not able to enter them all in DPC challenges for which you are probably quite grateful! Meaning that I hope you weren't getting too tired of seeing hummingbirds! Here is a list, for those interested, of the flowers all of which were around my house. Zinnia, Brazilian Fuscia, Fuscia Arroyo Grande, Sunflower, Salvia, Hibiscus, Coleus, Million Bells, Dusty Miller, Ageratum, Marigold, Petunia, Angelonia, Butterfly bush, Tomato plant, Spinach leaf, Sweet potato flower, African Bush Daisy, and Black Eye Susan. |
