This is my friend's new kitten, Julius.
aka Joolz, Orange Julius, OJ

I had originally wanted to get a shot of him in the air, and had my friend use a toy to tempt him. But when I went through the shots after, this pose won out over everything else. I was also using not only natural light, but also backlight, and he wouldn't stay in a single plane, so half the shots were oof.

Of the 27 species I've made portraits with, I find cats to be the hardest to photograph.

Technically, he IS in the air, as the paw that's "on the ground" barely is.

what the heck .. this is crazy .. !! ..
you are a magician when it comes to photographing animals .. and often with their humanns .. !! .. lol ..
and thankyou so much for the backstory .. i wish ppl would include them when entering their photos .. it makes it all so much more personal .
anyway .. not surprised you got the blue for this .. its almost unbelievable ..
