 This is just so bittersweet a challenge. I knew right away that, this being an archival challenge, I could submit any of the dozen or so images that I shared with Beata over the past year--things that she loved but which were never quite right for a challenge here...

Or I could do what Beata would have probably really wanted and submit something fresh--something inspired not just by the sorts of subject matter she would have especially enjoyed, but also by how I see the world differently having interacted with her unique perspective.

So this is just a casual capture I know she would have enjoyed. The title is the Polish word for "imperfect."

Rest in peace, my friend. And thank you.

I'm viewing this on my phone, so I'm able to zoom in and see all the wonderful textures. The sculpture looks so mournful, well captured.
