 Feels like a very risky thing to share here. But I sat with this brief for a long time, looked through the various exposures I had to work with over this challenge window, and this is what emerged. I'd prefer not to over-explain it. Either it connects or it misses very badly.

For those unfamiliar with the title, the ancient Hebrew word "selah" appears in the Psalms, usually untranslated because its precise meaning is uncertain. Most translators think that it's a musical or liturgical direction indicating a pause for reflection.

NOTE: Image data refers to the butterfly capture. This is a composite of two images, and the cemetery shot comes from my phone on a separate occasion.

This was one of the last images I had been working on while Beata was still with us. I was excited for her to get to see it, because she once told me she found cemeteries to be among the most peaceful and centering of all places for her to spend time. I had no idea, of course, how bittersweet this image would become for me in the voting. I'd like to just quietly dedicate it to her memory.
