 A couple of people wanted to know the backstory. There is not much I can say. I shot this near the summit of the Transfagarasan Highway in Romania, a spectacular road that crosses a high ridge of Carpathian mountains at 2000m elevation. The top portion of the road is only accessible in summer, so we took a gondola up there. In summer it is a recreational area, and there are a few scattered houses and lodges up there, but they were all shuttered now. One of the houses had this nice Mercedes parked near it. Why would the owner leave it there for the winter... who knows? Perhaps a sudden snowstorm closed the road early in the Fall, and he could not drive it down. I didn't think of the challenge when I took this photo ( the topic was announced just a couple of hours before, and I hadn't checked the website), it just generally looked very amusing and photogenic.

I agree! Also the red flags add a nice pop of color and help tell the story. Very strong and memorable shot. Congratulations on your red!
