 Going for a sort of ecological mood piece here. At one time, the boat under the tree was near the shoreline of this lake, but the waters have receded well into the distance on account of prolonged periods of drought in the area. The vacation lodges that line this side of the shore have also long since been abandoned and fallen into shambles, which is part of the reason this boat has never been moved since the last time it was hauled ashore. It's a bit of a hike to get out to this spot, and every time I see this sight, it strikes me as something of a bittersweet memory.

The exposure date and image specs are for the landscape, not the vulture. I shot the vulture within the same county, but on a separate occasion once I had in mind to try this as a double exposure.
