I left a long comment on this photo during the voting and I am not sure how it managed to not get saved. It was my favorite of the challenge nd I m glad that many others felt the same way

I'm sorry I missed the voting on this challenge Lydia. I didn't see your entry until now. I am very sentimental when it comes to our pets from the past and present. This portrait really touched my heart! What a wonderful tribute.

Congrats Lydia. I absolutely remembered the original (and that it was yours) but I couldn't find it when I went looking. I'm so sorry that you no longer have your little model. ((()))

I clearly remembered that photo!
So sorry Jack is gone, that was a shock to hear, although we know eventually it happens.
Congratulations! Oh, I didn't notice the floor board tilt one bit! Sigh!! My emotions were overwhelmed instead. |

Tell me you didn't?! What size is that print on the wall? Has to be at least 20" on the long side. :-) Dedication to your craft, or at least this challenge. Nice! Minor nit ... the floor board and chair look tilted. Maybe it's just the perspective.

This almost has a quietly compelling, almost bittersweet quality to it. Whether intentional or not, my first thought upon viewing it was--is the pet deceased now? That's a sign of effective art.
