 M?lifell is a striking, cone-shaped volcanic mountain located near the edge of the M?rdalsj?kull glacier in southern Iceland. Rising about 200 meters above the surrounding black sand plains, the mountain is covered in bright green moss during the summer, creating a dramatic contrast against the dark volcanic landscape. It was formed after the last Ice Age, when volcanic eruptions occurred beneath the retreating glacier. M?lifell is one of Iceland?s most photographed landmarks due to its perfect shape and otherworldly setting. The area is accessible only by 4x4 vehicles during the summer months.
