Sooooo - this is actually a Lobotomy Chair (creeeepy to the 9th degree!!!) - the story goes - an 12 year old boy had a lobotomy done here at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum - in 1960 - he is still alive today.

This Asylum operated from 1864-1984 - it was built for 250 patients - at the height of their operation they housed 2,600 patients.

Hey there from the Critique Club

My thoughts on the image: I really like this one, too, and a well-deserved blue! The textures are fantastic, and the story is even better.

My ideas for improvement: Really nothing I would change. I would like to see another angle without everything centered, but I very well may have chosen the centered composition anyway.

Where I would have/did score this entry: I did not vote in this one, but it would have been my top choice, as it was with the voters. This one would have definitely gotten an 8 or 9 from me. Nice work, as always!

nice .. !! .. definitely a ribbon ..
i dont really know why this appeals so much .
could be that it evokes a feeling of times gone by ..
and by the look of that chair/bed .. not a good time in this room .. :(
