theres no way this was done with 1/500 shutterspeed, unless you pulled the bullet out of its case, and threw it at the egg, or something...... |

Great shot! Congrats on your 4th placing and your creativity and expertise! |

Aesthetically I don't find this all that appealing. But technically speaking it boggles my mind. Well done, and congrats on a great placing. |

excellent timing. That must have been super difficult. This was my favorite, though I am impressed. I think this will probably be the majority favorite. Congradulations (pre-empitvely ofcourse) |

um.
okay, i'm guessing there's some elaborate sort of setup here, otherwise you probably wasted a lot of eggs! if you want to use sidelighting in this manner, i'd prefer to see it illuminating the side that the bullet is emerging from, as i'm not sure that its current arrangement contributes much.
p.s. good idea. |

coool. the composition works very well, the green expecially in the upper left is beginning to look a bit cut out like but excellence in the rest of the photo makes up for it. 9 |

Man what a killer shot of Humpty Dumpty. Good luck on this top contender.. |

Nice shot, would have preferred some more delicate lighting on the egg - the overexposure is a shame. Perhaps a little more motion blur on the bullet? (I'm assuming it's hanging from a string or something, so I appreciate that motion blur might be tricky!). |

Clever image but I think it's not as it appears. Having a book filled with these photos at home I'm sure the egg would shatter and explode outwards much more violently. The round is also captured with much too much clarity and the outside setting is a giveaway - these shots require sensors and very precise strobe firing...only indoors conditions will do. Picture looks great though! |

must have taken a lot of time and effort. though the egg thing seems to me a common idea. |

Composition: 6
Technical: 4, looks very staged - no motion blur on the bullet, no shell fragments flying forward
Appeal: 5
Challenge: 5
Overall Calculated Average Score: 5, Good idea. Not so good execution imho. |

Good Technique. I like the way you set this up. |

You did not shoot a bullet through this egg. Did you? |

That's just crazy... how did you do that? |

faked high speed, egg is empty, bullet has no barrel marks, high speed shots are not taken in daylight |
|
|

no barrel marks. can't be real. |

hmmm, looks like you can improve your desat skills. Another thing, the egg is too white/blown out on the left, thats almost half the egg. |

Technical merit alone, wow. |
