Did you launch from the embankment?
Yes.
How far out was the drone?
The drone was probably 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile out. I can maintain good signal strength out over the lake, and I have gone much further with my Air 2s. There are some fresh water intake structures about 2 1/2 miles out that I have photographed from shore.

yep .. blue for sure .. and I haven't even seen your competition .. this would need almost impossible to beat ..
