This pupper has heart cancer, his first chemo treatment was the day of this photo, he is a very specially trained dog and I am so sad for him that he is battling this at a young age (7). I have ordered him a large framed canvas as a gift to thank them both for their service and can’t wait to gift it to them.

Good on you!

First, terrific image.

Second, you'd best bring a box of Kleenex for your cop.

Nothing is harder than to watch your dog die before he should.

A dog is part of your life.

You are his/her whole life.

He will be overcome by your gift.

Sometimes, this photography stuff is an arrow to the heart.

A beautiful portrait of the two. I love the lighting. The story of the bond between this man and his dog is so apparent in your choice of creating a statement in the uniforms, background and lighting. A very well executed portrait. A top favorite in this challenge.

It's a lovely portrait Erin, but knowing what you wrote about this gorgeous dog makes it even more special and meaningful.
