 This particular morning, we wome up to snow - I had these berries left from an arrangement from Christmas I put in my “stash” for later use. I grabbed them and stepped out back to photograph them in the show. I had to put them in something green even though I knew it would scream Christmas, because they look so fake. I had others that had the berries in focus, but compositionally liked this AND to be honest, when the berry was in focus, they really looked fake (as they are).

So funny . . . I knew that I would get dinged for not focusing on the red berries, and I had others that were in focus, but I just liked this one best. It killed me as I imagined it would.

This is so beautiful. I love the narrow dof -- but I really wish it was one of the berries on which you focused, instead of the greens. 7

I love this image, I am in 2 minds whether for the challenge you should have had the berries (red) in focus. ... Need to think before voting

I wish the berries were in focus instead of the greenery to better portray "red", but it's a lovely image.

very very very NICE .. !! ..
loving this .. the beautiful depth of field really appeals to me .
and of course the colours . red and green go perfectly together .
hope you do well . as this is awesome ..
ps .. i hope voters dont nitpick about the subjects not being in focus .. this works absolutely .. :)
