 OK, I know, DPC won't like this - its OK.
I love this shot and yes, it was a fluke.
I shot this with a lensbaby Composer Pro Double glass, wide open.
I had the camera on a tripod, I could just reach the shutter release. I pre-focused.
I shot it in studio, but didn't like the strobe, so shot it with natural light.
There was little light, so I had to go to 1/40. I held the blow drier in 1 hand and blew her hair, which gave the extra blur in the pic (in addition to the lensbaby blur). I convinced Chanel to look into the blow drier (she is not very fond of the blower in the first place). And all that and I got a totally sharp nose. Maybe the eye would have been better, but then there would have been less blur in the hair.
Anyway, I think its a cool shot :-).

Tod asked me to tell you - he will be just as good a model if the Pay (aka treats) are better ;-P.
Seriously, my dogs LOVE the camera. Sometimes too much - trying to get only 1 in front of the camera can be a mission :-). As far as they are concerned camera=treats - easiest "trick" in their book :-)

i dont know that your dog could have a bad hair day ..
even when its looking a bit hap-hazard ..
loving everything about this .
especially the soft focus and shallow dof ..
a stunning dog . and perfect for the challenge . :)
