The vivid yellowness of the border makes the much paler yellow of the custard look much less yellow in comparison.

| I love custard! Yummy! It is a little dark but I see that if you had lightened it up any more the edge of the spoon would have blown out, so you were right to keep it this way. The reflections in the custard give this image more charachter. I would have prefered the shadow on only one side of the spoon though. |

| I like your idea, but the whole shot seems dark and consequently unappetizing. I do like the reflection along the edge of the spoon, but the custard is just kind of a sickly color. I hope this comment helped. |

| The custard is too dark - I would have liked it closer (but not quite as britght) as the border. It would be a challenge to light this well without harsh reflections but there are good ways to diffuse light sources. Focus on the spoon is very crisp and I like you composition - lighting is the only issue. |

| The colour looks like chocolate. A few stops more (down) to brightened up the custard. |

| I find the image a little dark with the light spots a little distracting. It looks like it has a great texture, which could be further enhanced with more light. |

| Nice idea. I dont think that the picture was taken in a way that created much interest. And the yellow color looks a little bit brown. Maybe the lighting could have been better. |

| I think the border really detracts from the image, it's too bright for the yellow of the custard. More light on the custard would have higlighted the yellowness, I think. |
