| I think this is really charming, and the color palette is lovely. But it doesn't draw me in for some reason. It might be the pose, the expression (which is a little standoffish)... And as others have pointed out, the style is sort of a hybrid between cartoon and real. Or maybe it's just Tuesday. |

| I gave it a 6. I agree with Tim that the expression of the mermaid somehow detracts from the image. Also the combination of real and surreal do not somehow blend well together. I can̢۪t quite put my finger on it. For instance the mermaid̢۪s hair looks like a wig. I like the concept but I think it needs more work! |

| rather sweet. most of it is a lovely watercolour dream, but the very real cheeky face kind of gives it the lie, if that makes any sense. |
