I had far too much fun with this shoot :-)
In anticipation of shots of quiet, tasteful breakfasts in lovingly lit studios, I knew I had to go the other way. Obviously bacon and eggs had to feature in it, but I didn't want to hold back.
Toast fingers make up the hair (btw mashed potatoes made some great glue to hold them in place), the end of a piece of kiwi is the nose, slices of kiwi for ears. Needless to say the bacon lips and big sunny-side up egg eyes with dots of siracha sauce are the high point. The bg is a massive slab of 2in thick ash, left over from when I got my kitchen counter redone.
The build: the cutlery, coffee and OJ were first on the table. Next came the nose and ears, the toast hair, bacon and banana teeth, the eggs last. Camera was on tripod with an extension rod so I would have enough height to contain all this magnificence at 35 mm, and slightly angled forward over the set. Had to stand on a kitchen chair to get the shots. Used the flash, aimed mostly at the ceiling.

| Lol I think that would frighten me if I was faced with that first thing in the morning - though I would probably frighten it even more. Great POV and treatment. Really fun photo - congrats on the HM! |

| absolutely loving the expression you have created with your bits and pieces of food .. thats inspired .. it sorta mimics an emoji i rather like using when i'm writing to ppl .. you may know the one i mean .. surprised yet slightly mad .. :) |
