Not my sharpest hummingbird shot, but it's a more interesting pose. Pretty simple processing: cloned out a little bit of the feeder below the front wing, then just a matter of color, contrast and sharpening adjustments.

i've heard these little guys are extremely difficult to photograph .. takes dedication and patience ..
even if we had them here in australia i doubt i could photograph them like you have ..
i imagine it would be like photographing a flying insect as those birds are so small ..
many congratulations on such a wonderful photo and of course the red ribbon .. :)..

Nice choice to contrast the pop of red with a sea of green... and obviously this is an incredible hummingbird shot. Well done. I suspect I will see this on the front page.
