 I love cheesecakes, both eating them and making them. My favorite is a basque burnt cheesecake but I don't think visually it would've been as appealing. They are the most delicious types of cheesecake I've ever had though.

Pretty simple setup, here's a shot of it. It's just the elements placed on top of a yellow pillowcase with a board that's on a chair under that. There's a matte black posterboard in back for the background.

many congrats on your fourth place with such a delicious looking entry ..
i am however bumbed out as seeing this had made me realize i dont eat nearly enough yummy desserts and am feeling the lack as i write this ..
i may have to go get a few pieces of lindt dark chocolate from the kitchen .. its the only 'fun' food in my house atm .. and when i eat it i may feel a bit depressed .. as i would really like to eat a slice of cheesecake right now .. :(

Thanks for the constructive criticisms and advice on the image. I don't do too many of these food or product type shots so I'm kind of lost trying to do food styling. I'm sure I'll make more cheesecakes so can experiment with different compositions. :)

Also the fork should play a more active role...Sorry but I do a lot of food photography and these are just my opinions. But I do Love the photo and it looks yummy.
