 This was one of the last days this road was open this year. That very evening a snow storm was coming through Colorado and the park service closed the road at 6PM. We had to make sure we were through the park by the time they closed the road!

The wind was blowing hard. Had to hang onto the tripod to keep everything stable. The clouds were screaming by so I just had to wait for the right moment to release the shutter.
This is the highest continuous road in the USA, for a little fact tidbit.

This is one of my favorite roads in America! We’ve traveled it so many times, and it never ever ceases to amaze and inspire me. You captured it beautifully!

Great meandering road - I somehow doubt that the blue mountains are so vibrant; they might be in reality but for the sake of the picture they would be more effective with less saturation and chroma
