 This is NOT a real rat (of course).


And, I put the inside dogs outside while I carefully set the trap... holding my breath the whole time.


Scared me almost to death when it tripped by accident. This is a rat trap... not a tiny mouse trap (although the size of the rat makes it look small).
I think it would have broken my fingers if I'd gotten caught in it!

DPC is not for the faint of heart!

I'm sure that there will be many rat traps on the floor shots... So be it. It's all I can think of for this topic. I did want to shoot it in a restaurant's kitchen (like the movie "Ratatouille"), but... I don't have one of those...

Thinking about this again, this image without the rat would still have done well. It is similar to the glass at Thanksgiving - the glass without the background would make no sense but the background could still do well in the challenge :)

Commiserations on the DQ. 8 from me .. and I can tell it's not a real rat. Harsh rule enforcement imo. Creativity ought to be rewarded.

looking at it again.. you cut that out of a print?! - Amazing effort and well deserved top 5.

For my entry, I took my camera out of my bag on my walk to the office (in London) and fired of a quick snap :)
