|I had intended to take more shots of this slice of cake the next day, however, that it disappeared before I could do that, lol. Hubby did not know I was using it for photos. It is delicious.
CHOCOLATE MOCHA CAKE
3 Cups all purpose flour
1 ½ t TSP Baking Powder
1 TBS Baking Soda
¾ TSP Salt
½ Cup Cocoa Powder
2 2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
¾ Cup Vegetable Oil
1 ½ Cup hot coffee
½ Cup Sour Cream
3 large eggs beaten
1 Cup Buttermilk
1 TBS Vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Grease and lightly flour three 8” cake pans
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt
cocoa and sugar
Mix together thoroughly oil, coffee, sour cream, eggs,
Gradually add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture. Do not over beat.
Pour into the three pans and bake for approximately 22-25 minutes.
1 ½ Cups butter
4 Cups of confectioner sugar
2 TBS cream or milk
1 TSP Vanilla extract
2/3 Cup Cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Cream butter for approximately 5 minutes
Beat in sugar, beat in cocoa, beat in cream, vanilla and salt
