Archie Parkhouse

[May. 24th, 2019 10:43:12 AM]

I took this photo from the roadside while hiking on the St James' Way. The guy spoke to me but I could not understand him as I don't speak German. I just repeated "sehr gut" few times ;) His clothes and the old style scythe made him an uncanny match for Archie Parkhouse of the 70s. Amazing what you can find in rural Switzerland!

Lovely, captures the feeling of the underlying photographer for sure. I also would love to see this painted, in swirls of primitive gold...

Another amazing image, being in the right place at the right time is such a buzz. Congrats, this is another challenge I didn't get round to voting on, but looks like you didn't need my vote anyway.

This was definitely my favorite of the challenge. Not only did you nail the challenge topic, the composition and tones are just wonderful. Congrats on a well-earned blue!

Great entry for the challenge IMO. The rolling land and light. And the scythe! Bump.

Can't say enough good things about this image - the feeling of "being there" is present as there is considerable depth to the image - which in this case was difficult due to the hill. Well done.
