Challenge: S-Curve V (Standard Editing)
Camera: Sony DSC-RX100 VI
Location: Zermatt, Switzerland
Date: Jan 16, 2019
Date Uploaded: Jan 16, 2019

For those interested Before & After:

I did quite large selections and the result was what looked like snowdrifts.

-----
My message to Bear:

Hi, Robert
I was expecting it as this was definitely a borderline (nice one though ;) but as you know, I have been a member for many years and I would NOT deliberately CREATE something that was not allowed. As I said on the upload of my original, I DID NOT use Photoshop, the "snow drifts" were artifacts of using Spot Removal tool in Lightroom, sort of lousy editing. I liked the result so I left them in as they would have been there if there were no trees.

The Standard Editing rule reads:
"use cloning or similar tools to remove unwanted objects from your image. Objects removed must be replaced with with what actually would be visible if the distracting object were not there in the first place. "

This rule is open (slightly :) to interpretation.

So can you change the wording of the DQ to reflect above. Implying that I used Photoshop to CREATE a new feature made me a cheat (!), saying that I was a LOUSY editor in Lightroom is fine with me.

Best regards
Margaret
Disqualification Details

Awww! I am so sorry!!! I hate DQ’s! I’ve been there, done that, so I feel the pain. It’s an amazing image tho, made better by how you edited it, so that’s important too!
