done for the resolution side challenge for january

my theme is composites, overlays or textures ..

georgia and chiara playing in the local pool .. oh well .. i will try and come up with something more meaningful next time ..

i came on this photo i took several years ago and wanted to use it in SOMETHING .. !! .. ;) ..
..
it was pining away in my textures folder .. which is 23.3gb .. it would be easy to cull at least 10gb just as starters ..
i could have chosen another photo more appropriate to combine it with ..
but didnt .. ;)

Fabulous environment for waterbabies. I love it.

Now THAT is a pool I'd go swimming in . . . and I don't like to swim at all!
Love this except for the very dark vignette which seems way too heavy for them. I think I'd try lightening the texture a lot before overlaying it.

What a fabulous place you have created for the girls to swim! And the colours of their costumes go so well with the overlay. Very pretty.

They seem to enjoy so much the ice they're making or breaking!

A visual conundrum. I'm enjoying the tropical theme but at the same time, as Don said, the water surface looks like ice. Fascinating how the unexpected is discovered when overlaying disparate photographs.

It's interesting! Makes the pool look like a lake with growth they are having to push through.

the composite is interesting because it turns the water into ice, making the whole scene quite fantastical

they seem trapped in a small dark pool, but on the other hand, very happy in the situation.
I like that conflict - something to think about.

Don't be apologetic, these vivid colors are really fun with the kids! Especially with the hats :-)
