overall a nice warmth, with a little bit of added menace by those craggy, jutting branches - suitably metaphoric! Hope you are mending well from your accident :) |

Sorry about your fall and fractured hand. And I thought urban exploring was hazardous to our health.. I guess you could call this exploration. You have to watch where you step or jump, even walking can put you in a hole. Be careful and take care of that hand! At first I thought the driftwood was antlers..interesting composition! |

I like the way the tree stands out against the background colors. Maybe just a bit oversharpened? Hope your hand is feeling better! |

Wonderful creature - to me he looks like a skinny albino anteater admiring his manicure. Keep your spirits up and bet there will be a pleasant thing or two discovered through having to do things differently ;-) |

Terrific shot and wonderfully processed. I now understand your desire to come closer to these antlers crying for mercy.
Hope you’ll recover soon Marion.
Waiting for the rest of the batch |

I was in the antler camp at first, but I totally get the metaphor. Having gone though a 3rd surgery on my shoulder this year (total reverse replacement this time)- also the result of a fall..... I empathize with the difficulties of producing new images. I'm so sorry about your fall and hope your recovery goes well. |

Wonderful combination of textures and tones. I love the unexpected starkness of the branches - which actually make me think more of a dead deer than a tree - against the warmth of the sand. |

very successful abstract, imo, the different areas of light and dark, the curves of the branches |

Your title eluded me before reading your comment. Glad you're on the mends and wish you a speedy recovery. I fall into (no pun intended) the antler camp. Very sculptural driftwood branches. Nice! |

Very nice image. My first thought was antlers. Second was desert trees. I really like it. |

i'm really sorry to hear about your hand Marion .. and i love the way you have connected the tree and your broken hand as a metaphor .. :)
its funny, but not funny .. but a couple of years ago i was getting thru a fence to get a photo of some dew .. and fell on my arm and broke my elbow .. it had already been broken in a car accident years before .. so it was a break on a break .. i still have metal in it from the attempted photo incident .. and want to have the metal taken out .. it hurts a lot if i lean on it .. but i'm scared that taking the metal out might make the arm worse ..
anyway .. sorry to make this a bit about me .. but i felt we could sympathize about our broken bits and pieces .. xx |
