Thanks. The black dots are indeed flies. Don’t think this stag has ever witnessed buckshot.

This was taken in Longleat Safari Park in England. Getting close to rutting season - can’t wait to get up to Exmoor to attempt to capture the action. It is a bit more difficult to get close to a stag on Exmoor :)

This really was a glimpse, brilliant, reminds me of the parks you can drive through in England. Only reason I say that, is I did that with my kiddies all the time when we went back home and your photo reminds me of Suffolk and Norfolk's parks. I think it is rutting season right now over there? so great capture!
