 My first serious attempt at shooting lightning... forgot my auto shutter trigger...so tried repeated 15 second exposures, with the camera on a tri-pod pointed in the general direction of the storm.

Good catch - I like your technique. I am terrified of lightning so have never even dreamt of trying to photograph it.
