Thank you so much for your votes in this. It's not the same snowy that Juliet mentioned in a comment. I was lucky enough to go up to Chincoteague twice. It's such a dream place for me! I adore the birds, especially the snowys. They are so flamboyant in their fishing.

On this trip, everyone was wonderful! The great egrets were really active, as well. I wish there were more challenges in which I could have shoehorned some photos. It's hard getting so many exciting ones in one day! Here were some of the outtakes:

btw, this one was the one that I expected to use before going up again the second time. It's the only time I've seen the cattle egrets up there actually landing on the wild ponies! The ponies didn't even flick an ear when they did!

And this one was one I was going to enter in bokeh but forgot what day it rolled over and missed it by a couple of hours.



Wish me luck that I still have these photos. My main computer is having massive problems and it isn't making it past it's check disk, though it seems to be able to start in safe mode. This weekend is going to be a problem solving weekend. Fixing computer, replacing dead dishwasher. The dead sewing machine got replaced two days ago. Electronics aren't happy in my house, at the moment!
