Congratulations on your 5th placing. Top 5 is always glorious and you are guaranteed that your effort is noticed. Your image presents a rustic look that adds charm to any image. Keep up the great work, hard to keep talent down.

Nice simple composition, good background. It would have been good to not crop the top of the shovel. Perhaps warmer light (or adjustment) might have been nice too.

Your image certainly fits the challenge, but it doesn't do anything for me interest wise. I think because all the lines are vertical and all carry the same weight - my eyes are not really led into the photo, and really don't have much reason to stay there long. I would suggest being more creative in the angles or perspective that you choose. Try to show these common object in a not so common way. 5

Pretty good. Photo is weel done technically, but the shot seems a bit too staged unnecessarily. Still probably a top 20% shot though. ...my two pennies.

Losing the handle of the shofel hurt this pic in my opinon. nice collor treatment, it makes the pic look old.8

Excellent composition, good use of descending heights to create a visual line, good use of the studs for framing effect.

Although alone the tools don't say or imply technology to me, together and against the background of aged wood, they seem to fit into a 'low tech' arena, reminding me of waterwheels, old wagons and thusly low tech. I like the crop of the shovel especially as it somehow lends to the subtracting nature of the rest of the line. Wondering what the whole would have looked like if you shot the shovel in the center, implying an arrow or triangular shape between the uprights. Well centered. The lower left item that seems to have been cloned out is very distracting, like a burnt piece of wood that should have been removed first. There also seems to be a halo of oversharpening on the garden claw but not so much that it in a larger print it would be distracting. I like this interpretation of the challenge and give high marks.

I like everything about the photo, lighting, color, texture, EXCEPT that it looks staged.

almost perfect, if it wasn't for the plastic handle to the right, well done

Tis image is so earthy and authentic, except that garden claw: too new and blue. I am sure you added it as a foil to add interest, but I would like the image better without it. Great photo, though. An 8

This is very nice. I don't think you should have cut off the top of the shovel.

Two small comments on an otherwise good photo: I'd like to see the rest of the shovel's handle, and the blue plastic handle is distracting and out of place compared to the rest of the photo.

Nice image. I would suggest either a tighter crop with the shove handle (metal part not the wooden part of the handle) cropped out or reframing with the complete handle in the image. Being on the edge is slightly distracting. Beautiful lighting. Good Work!

I think you shouldn't have cut off the top of the spade, and perhaps cut off some of the bottom. But good ideas, nice shot.

The lighting and arrangement look good, I just wish that the shovel was not cropped out at the handle.

Great, just great! I love the soft colors and lighting, I just wish it wasn't cropped tight from the top. Good luck! :)
