Ok. Paper.

The first thing that came to mind was origami. But I figured there'd be a lot of that. How could I change it up?

I hadn't done a squirrel shot in awhile.

Origami squirrels -- they must exist...?

They do! It took about 40 minutes with a youtube video, but the problem was that it wasn't particularly 3D. It would stand up, but fall over really easily.

(of course, my husband tells me later that I could have just stuck a pin through it. Yeah. That would have worked. sigh.)

So it sat on the deck.

And blew over.

I scared all the birds and squirrels away setting it back up.

A bird flew in.

And blew it over.

After about 4 of these efforts, I scotch taped it on the back foot. I didn't want to do the front foot, because I still suck at cloning something out.

So it blew over backwards. But still connected by the foot.

Hmmm.

I set it back up.

Oh, did I mention that this whole time the squirrels kept coming on to the deck, but not bothering to go up on the railing? And that the sun was starting to set and it was getting rather dark for photography?

Finally one came up!

I really liked this (unprocessed) shot, too, and was torn which one to use.

Stand alone top score (again) 10 and a fave. Everything about this is just gorgeous and so very creative. Could you ship a few squirrels over to me? The possums only come out at night.
