In the vain of Muench's book, David Muench's National Parks, this is Great Falls National Park.

Muench is my favorite landscape photographer EVER. To me, his photos are about creating depth by photographing foreground and letting the amazing background add depth. Unfortunately, I didn't have many great "foregrounds" to work with so this will have to do. :)

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that meets the challenge well

I had to quickly familiarise myself with David Muench, I would say yes, your image is a fitting tribute to his style of work. You have achieved great depth of field here through appropriate choice of aperture and focus point and softened the water with your long shutter speed to produce an image that I would imagine he would be proud of. As for the foreground the lighting helps to give it a more dimensional feel it works well as part of the whole. So, congratulations for your ribbon and high score, both thoroughly well deserved.

This would have been breath-taking if the flowing water didn't look so milky. BTW, I gave a 6 on this photo because of the likeness and composition of this photo.
