Challenge: A Part of A Thing (Standard Editing)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Fujifilm X-Pro2
Lens: Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R IOS
Date: Sep 24, 2017
Date Uploaded: Sep 24, 2017

I was struck by the crooked shadow when I passed these stairs. After a couple shots, I thought the image needed something more, so I waited for random people to walk by. Sometimes patience is rewarded -- often I do not stick around long enough to find out. However, I got lucky when the man with the hat arrived to add a little mystery and film noir feel.

So, I was about done playing around with processing, and I decided things were a little off square. So, I adjusted just a tweak and uploaded and went to bed. The next morning I looked at things and realized I had just tweaked the top layer. It was set to Luminosity, and this made the final image look wonky/blurry. It bothered me all week. Apparently, it bothered me more than most voters. Here is the corrected image.

I think it works without the tweaking. It made me think of a foggy and mysterious scene. Congrats on the blue!

All the parts are great but the best part of all is the stain.

I would read this book. You can judge a book by its cover.

ETA: Thank you.
