I merged a chicken photo (she was pecking at the ground in the grass) and a hummingbird photo.

Some plants for the background...

Then thought it wasn't enough... so... added a photo of a lizard that I'd found, dead and squished, with a photo of a friend's dog.

I hope I made the "lizardog" cartoonish enough to make it not so gruesome for the squeamish.

No living creatures were harmed or even inhibited in the very least of ways in the making of this image.

Later: Dang. I hate the dog's head... so... Now, I've changed that for a fish's head. I thought I'd deleted it by accident... so had gone for the dog, but then I found it again.

Another hour or so to add the fish instead of the dog.

I wish I weren't anal.

Congratulations, Lydia! Great creation, not only well crafted and on theme, but aesthetically pleasing too. Glad you changed the dog bit for a fish bit.

This is SO good. Love the way your dog/fish/lizard looks appropriately terrified (and so it should ;-) Great work, my friend. Many congrats on the red.
