The old teahouse, the moon, some of my trees, a twisted sense of humour and horror...

pp: usual global adjustments, some NIK...

Post-challenge: Wow, I think this is my first HM in an Extended challenge! Glad to see it in the middle of my homepage too.

Knew I had to go the horror-movie poster route, and one of the best I've seen in recent years was for The Cabin in the Woods. Brilliantly done movie, you think it's going to be the usual Hollywood formula....but it ain't.

Oh and the poster for that movie was beautifully done too, with a misty woods in the background and a log cabin twisted along its planes like a Rubik's cube, floating in mid-air. I wasn't ambitious enough to try and do the Rubik's cube thing, but my good ol copper tealight house has enough warps and crooked angles to make up for it. And there was a lovely full moon and a few nice clear nights to see well enough by to get some decent images.

The title font is called Gypsy Curse. The credit font is SF Movie Poster.

Hello from the critique club

An excellent entry that fully meets the challenge.

Very spookily done Susan and congratulations on your high score and HM, well done. You’ve done a great job of the post-processing to create a very convincing and very spooky poster that would look great outside any cinema, bound to attract the public’s attention and curiosity. I love the red font and shadows, the face at the window, the windows themselves the dominant colours its all working together very well. It’s all already been said buy your commenters who rightly appreciate a good job well done.

This movie is truly terrifying. Johnny Depp is the most frightening creature in cinema today.
