Hello from the critique club
An appealing landscape that meets the challenge well.
What a viewpoint Marcel! It doesn’t get much more urban than this! I like the starbursts of light you have from your chosen aperture and the softness of the water from the consequential longer exposure. The composition is good with the river breaking it up. I welcome J9’s comments but I have to disagree with her, there is excellent clarity where it is needed, in fact the only lack of clarity is in the distant horizon, perhaps that is what she means, for me this really is not a problem, it enhances and emphasises the clarity of the foreground. The tonal range of your mono is good but perhaps the river may have benefited from a lighter tone to distinguish it more readily from the distant background, that’s about all I can add, well done. |
