Goodness!

Thanks for all the comments. That is why I am part of this community.

This is my nephew, the whole of that family [3 boys, one girl] are extremely photogenic, and full of character. I did not crop the image to get this effect. It's like mariuca said.

I now have a 100% increase in my ribbon-count. Unexpected, but a very nice bonus.

Sorry Guys, DQ'ed as I cannot count back to 7, it seems. Taken one day too early. I'm so embarrassed.

Disqualification Details
Your submission must be taken after the challenge is announced and before the deadline, based on the Current Server Time (US Eastern Standard Time) displayed at the bottom of every page on this site. I don't believe everything I read. Hehe

My clearly flawed system works like this:
- Take photo's over the week-end [mostly hastily Sunday-afternoon before the light goes..]
- Do the adjusting Sunday-evening for the week's challenges, no time in the week for that.

All weekend-photo's are fine for the previous week's challenges, I do not even think about dates. But when a long-weekend or short holiday comes around, I sort-of look at the submission day and sort-of count back that it will work out, so now I'm sort-of in trouble. Just make sure I never become an auditor/accountant by profession....Oh no, too late.

Thanks again for the good set of comments.

Funny. And who cares. You'd make a great accountant, I'm sure. Will love this post regardless what else you do,

Sorry to learn of the DQ. An excellent image regardless of when it was taken. Thanks for sharing it with us, Herman.

Baie geluk Herman. :) Beste

This is so poignant that it's perfect - well, I mean, imperfectly perfect, perfectly flawed
and therefore bumped

You had me even before I read the title. Nicely done. My top pick.

Awesome!! No flaw at all, as this is a fun and excellent portrait, but I'll give you credit for a flaw just the same.

Ok -- I think this is genius! Something that I don't know if I would have liked as much without the challenge, but the eyes are so great, that I'm hoping I would have at least looked a little longer and not dismissed it. I would have loved it cropped down from the top just a small amount (the top of the diagonal line in the upper right).
