The image seems a bit over-shapened&despckeled. Or just grainy?

lame, i hate flowers

Good angle for tis challenge, too bad it couldn't have been a little lighter in the foreground.
05/03/2002 02:19:00 PM
Too dark, too pixelated. Next time try a fill in flash or back lighting to lighten the flowers.
05/02/2002 06:05:00 PM
Think I would have used some fill flash to illuminate the beauty of the tulips, but a nice perspective.

If you could get closer to the tulips, to get a higher angle looking up at the flowers.

Nice idea, image looks too dark, also I wonder how you compressed it, looks really jagged/

Beautiful

I like the idea, and the composition of the pictures, unfortunately, the tulips are too dark against the light sky. Have you tried taking this one with a flash? Also, something distracting in the background to the left (behind the still closed tulip). I know you couldn't remove it for this challenge, but I would do that for final processing.

Nice flowers and I like the angle. Color seems too dark.

I love these tulips!! You might try adjusting the contrast and sharpening this image a bit. The photo feels a bit flat, for such a wonderful subject!

Don't know if you could have done it without overexposing the sky, but the flowers need to be brighter.

just not the best flower shot...the lighting is off and the flowers seem grainy
04/29/2002 03:42:00 PM
Backlighting too strong...........can improve with fill-in flash.

So pretty. So Dutch. So springy. So nice.

i think this would have been a great picture if the lighting and sharpness were better.

Ah! This photo could have been really nice. Your framing is great, as is the angle. The lack of up-closeness with the flowers, the lighting of the ground, the coloring of the picture (seems washed out), and so forth are all detracting from the photo, though. I'd go back and try this photo again on a day where there are some clouds out or something to help you balance the color of the sky and also add some texture to it. I'd also try to get the flowers more in focus, and see if you can't lighten the photo up a bit in order to get the lower-green parts to have some texture. I might even lower the angle a degree or two if you can capture some dirt from the ground. I think that could add to it. Certainly worth trying out :)

A little bit underexposed, I think, the leaves and the flowers are very dark. You might have overexposed the sky if you had a longer exposure though, but maybe from a different side of the plant or a different time of day they would have been less backlighted, and then easier to expose?
04/29/2002 10:45:00 AM
This is a nice photo, but I think the sunlight is getting in teh way of the exposure.
04/29/2002 10:32:00 AM
a tad bit dark
04/29/2002 10:16:00 AM
I think the dimness of the lighting and colours detract from this photo and make it flat. The flowers are almost seen in silhouette, but tulips in profile aren't all that interesting, especially set off against such a dim sky.

Needed to be exposed for the flowers, rather than the sky - ends up too dark to work well
04/29/2002 08:47:00 AM
Fill flash would have been very helpful here.
04/29/2002 07:39:00 AM
Nice use of backlight.

seems underexposed to me ... I'd prefer to see the sky blown out and the detail on the flowers and leaves
