Challenge: Break the Rules II (Advanced Editing VII)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Sony Alpha a7 II
Lens: Jupiter 12 35mm f/2.8 for Leica
Date: Jan 22, 2014
Aperture: f/2.8
ISO: 1000
Shutter: 1/160
Date Uploaded: Feb 7, 2016

This would have been my Free Study image had my Sony A7II not reset its clock. I noticed the time difference and corrected it but left the year on 2014. This 'break a rule' challenge is allowing me to see if my actual FS pick will outscore my entry.

Also, I no longer have this camera nor can I use the lens I shot this with - the Jupiter 12 is a favourite of mine but its produding rear element won't fit through the sensor housing frame on my new Leica SL.

It got published on 1x, so it's already been well received somewhere.

Congratulations Paul. This ended up being standalone top shot for me. Rollover caught me, I was just in the process of updating my comment.

I don't know what rule you broke, but I love the look of this, the mood and the sense of story. Top 3.

That look is as big and bright as the window. One of my 10s and a fave.

Love it. Seems silly to say but I can't find the words to describe my reaction. So well done.

Ok, this is embarrassing...I've just commented on the other entry in this challenge, addressing it to Paul. Now I think it's you. :-)
I love both of them!! The stare here is mesmerizing!
